SHILLONG, Jan 27: Shillong boy, Boltijoy Ryan Nongsiej, is set to represent the country in an international pageant in Vietnam in June 2024.
Nongsiej, who’s still basking in the glory of winning several coveted titles in the Global Model India “Mister India” pageant in Sangli, Maharashtra, is preparing to represent the country in Vietnam.
Speaking to a section of the media, he said that he has grown up idolising the likes of Miss World and Miss Universe and always wondered if any platform held pageants for males too.
On how he reached such a coveted platform, he said that he did participate in some pageants here and that’s how he was picked up.
He said he is ready to give his all to make sure he wins the international pageant in Vietnam.
Nongsiej is the first Meghalaya boy to represent India internationally and to represent Mister Tourism Global in The King and Queen of Mister and Miss international in association with Global Model India international after five years.
He is currently pursuing his Master’s in Tourism and Management from the Martin Luther Christian University, and his aim is to make his mother’s life easier and his family proud.
