Vigilance Awareness Week gets under way

SHILLONG, Oct 28: The Vigilance Awareness Week 2024 commenced here on Monday with Chief Secretary DP Wahlang administering the integrity pledge to the government officials at the Main Secretariat building.
The Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) has initiated the Vigilance Awareness Week 2024, which is scheduled from October 28 to November 3, under the theme ‘Culture of Integrity for Nation’s Prosperity’. The Vigilance Awareness Week is held every year during the last week of October to create greater sensitivity about the need for ethics and transparency in governance and public administration.
Observance at POWERGRID
The observance was also launched at POWERGRID NER Regional Headquarters, Shillong Office, during which employees took the Integrity Pledge and participated in a walkathon to raise awareness about honesty and integrity at workplace.
BSF troops vow to act against corruption
On the same day, the BSF Meghalaya Frontier commenced the week-long observance, during which the personnel reaffirmed their “dedication to combating corruption and fostering a work environment rooted in honesty and integrity”.
The Integrity Pledge was administered by Inder Dev Singh, DIG (PSO), and BSF Meghalaya.
