Priyanka ‘looking forward’ to Lily James-starrer Swiped

Global head-turner Priyanka Chopra Jonas has congratulated Hollywood star Lily James for the premier of Swiped and said that she is looking forward to the incredible story. Priyanka took to her Instagram stories, where she shared the trailer of the upcoming “Swiped,” which had its world premiere in the Gala Presentations section of the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival. Priyanka wrote: “Congratulations @lilyjamesofficial! So looking forward to this incredible story. @hulu.” Lily in a collaborative post with Gala Gordon had shared the trailer, which was captioned: “Inspired by the billion dollar story… world premiere of SWIPED tonight. It’s time to disrupt the industry. Swiped is streaming September 19 on Hulu and with #HuluOnDisneyPlus!” (IANS)

Jimmy Fallon tries ‘Bhangra’ with Karan Aujla

Punjabi singer Karan Aujla made sure to take ‘desi vibes’ to the world stage as he appeared on American television, where he taught Jimmy Fallon “bhangra” on The Tonight Show. In the video shared by The Tonight Show on Wednesday, the singer, who recently released his new album P-Pop Culture, was seen greeting Jimmy with a hug before announcing, “So I am going to teach you some bhangra today.” Jimmy, dressed in his usual suit, looked unsure and joked, “I am too stiff.” But with Karan’s help, he quickly loosened up and joined him in grooving to “Gabru” from the singer’s latest album. Karan wore a classic black kurta-pyjama with a sleeveless jacket for the show. In no time, fans chimed in the comment section, calling it a proud day for Punjabi music and culture. Tom Felton shares special post after Gandhi premiere at TIFF

Harry Potter star Tom Felton shared a special post for the upcoming series Gandhi which premiered in Toronto Film Festival and was met with a standing ovation. The series focuses on Mahatama Gandhi’s life, Pratik Gandhi plays the titular role of the freedom fighter while Felton plays his close confidant during his time in London. On Tuesday, Felton posted pictures alongside the cast and crew of the show with the caption, ‘To my brother in arms @pratikgandhiofficial the cast and crew that made this happen.” “What an honour it was to premiere Gandhi at @tiff_net to a standing ovation this weekend- @hansalmehta,’ he wrote. Gandhi marks the first ever Indian series to be presented at TIFF. It is based on the books Gandhi Before India and Gandhi: The Years That Changed the World by historian Ramachandra Guha. (PTI)

Deepika marks daughter’s first birthday with sweet post

Actor Deepika Padukone shared a post to mark her daughter Dua’s birthday on Wednesday. The 39-year-old posted a picture of a chocolate cake that she baked for the occasion along with a caption which read, ‘My love language? Baking a cake for my daughter’s 1st birthday.’ Her husband Ranveer Singh replied to the post with the comment, ‘Best Mumma!’ while Karan Johar wrote, ‘Happy Birthday Dua’. Singh and Padukone, who tied the knot in 2018 in a lavish ceremony in Lake Como, welcomed their daughter on September 8, 2024. The couple was last seen in Rohit Shetty’s 2024 film Singham Again. Padukone is currently working on Shah Rukh Khan’s next film King. (PTI)
