2-day religious event in city begins today

SHILLONG, May 3: The Yogamaya Ashram, Lower Laban, will observe the 51st Tirodhan Tithi of Sri Sri Thakur Suryananda Maharajji with a two-day religious programme.
According to a statement here, the celebrations will commence on Monday with the Adhibasha at 6:30 pm.
On Tuesday, the day’s events will commence at 6:00 am with the Mandir Parikrama and Mangal Arati, which will then be followed by the chanting of scriptures and shlokas at 8:30 am.
A special worship of Guru Maharajji, Goddess Kali and Mahakal Puja is scheduled for 9:00 am.
Meanwhile, the ashram will distribute prasadam to devotees between 1:00 pm and 5:00 pm, and the programme will conclude with an evening prayer at 6:30 pm.
