SHILLONG, May 12: The Meghalaya government on Tuesday ordered a major reshuffle in the Police department involving several IPS and MPS officers across the state.
According to a notification issued by the Home (Police) Department, Deputy Inspector General of Police (Western Range), Jerry Fiscer K. Marak has been transferred and posted to the Eastern Range, Shillong. He will replace Vivekanand Singh who has been transferred to the Western Range.
In another order, Commandant of 5th MLP Battalion, Samanda, Siddharth Kumar Ambedkar has been transferred and posted as Commandant of 6th MLP Battalion, Umran, replacing Ashish.
Superintendent of Police, South Garo Hills District, Baghmara, Shailendra Bamaniya has been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, CID, Shillong, replacing Ringrang T.G. Momin.
The government also transferred North Garo Hills SP Pawar Swapnil Vasantrao as East Garo Hills SP, replacing Stephen A. Rynjah.
Superintendent of Police (VIS), Shillong, Naman Kumar has been posted as Superintendent of Police, CM Security, Shillong, replacing Ishan Gupta.
Superintendent of Police, City, Shillong, Dewansh Pandey has been transferred and posted as Assistant Inspector General of Police (L&O), Shillong, replacing Geffry Waemhok Lyngdoh.
Ashish, who was serving as Commandant of 6th MLP Battalion, Umran, has been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police (VIS), Shillong, replacing Naman Kumar.
SP, CM Security, Shillong, Ishan Gupta has been posted as North Garo Hills District SP, replacing Pawar Swapnil Vasantrao.
Superintendent of Police, MPRO, Tura, Hari Prasant M.R. has been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police (Traffic), East Khasi Hills, Shillong against an existing vacancy.
East Garo Hills SP, Stephen A. Rynjah has been transferred and posted as Commandant of 5th MLP Battalion, Samanda, replacing Siddharth Kumar Ambedkar.
Superintendent of Police, CID, Shillong, Ringrang T.G. Momin has been transferred and posted as South Garo Hills SP, replacing Shailendra Bamaniya.
Assistant Inspector General of Police (L&O), Shillong, Geffry Waemhok Lyngdoh has been transferred and posted as Eastern West Khasi Hills SP, replacing Dangsan Khyriem, who has now been posted as SP, City, Shillong, replacing Dewansh Pandey.
The notification stated that the transfers and postings will take effect from the date the officers take over charge or until further orders.
