SHILLONG, July 1: President Droupadi Murmu has appointed Prof. (Dr.) Arun Mohan Sherry, founding Director of IIIT Lucknow, as the new Director of IIM Shillong.
A distinguished academician and institution builder with over 28 years of experience in higher education leadership, research and academic administration, Prof. Sherry brings strong expertise in technology-enabled education and digital transformation.
He is an M.Sc. gold medallist with an M.Tech. in Computer Science from IIT Kharagpur and a Ph.D. His awards include the Anand Swarup Bhatnagar Gold Medal, Indian Icon Award (2010) and Rabindranath Tagore Samman (2011), among other notable achievements.
