SHILLONG:The Air Force Wives Welfare Association (AFWWA)-Regional conducted Inter Unit Declamation contest for HQ Eastern Air Command Region in Meghalaya Hall at HQ EAC IAF on Saturday.
The contest was inaugurated by President AFWWA, Shobha Varthaman.
A total of 23 participants for Hindi and English, from different units under EAC participated in the contest.Varthaman gave away the prizes to the winners in each category.
The winners will represent Eastern Air Command in the Declamation Contest to be conducted by AFWWA (Central)in New Delhi during October 11.
Ankur Dutta of KV Upper Shillong and Rajan of KV Chabua, Assam bagged the first position in English and Hindi Declamation contest respectively.
The declamation contest culminated with a colorful folk dance by the students from KV upper Shillong.
