MGNREGA project works to be revised

 JOWAI: In view of the wages hike under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGS) with an amount of Rs. 128 per day, the Jaintia hills Deputy Commissioner has informed that all estimates of project works submitted to respective BDOs will be revised.In this regard, the Deputy Commissioner has directed all secretaries and chairmen of Village Employment Councils (VECs) and Area Employment Councils (AECs) to approach and meet the Block Development Officers of their respective area so that their project work submitted earlier will be revised.
