SHILLONG: Continuing his tirade against the Chief Minister, Mukul Sangma, the NPP leader Prestone Tynsong has alleged that the Congress as a party would soon come to an end in Meghalaya.

“In politics there is no friendly match as is the case between the UDP and HSPDP because when we contest election, we contest to win and another is that the NPP has its own manifesto and ideology and hence the friendly match between the two regional parties will only create confusion among the people,” he said.
Stating that many political parties in the state are claiming that the NPP of having a nexus with the BJP, he said, “The people should not believe in such things as many political parties are scared with the NPP. Hence they are using such tactics to mislead the public especially after many sitting MLAs joined the NPP.”
Meanwhile, NPP candidate from Nongthymmai, Ehkupar Nongrum urged his supporters to lend their support towards him in the upcoming polls.
Informing that there are certain areas in the constituency with are still impoverish, he said, “If I win the MLA elections and my party comes to power the first thing on my list is to try and find ways and means to eradicate poverty from the constituency,” he said.
