New York: R&B singer Beyonce is expecting her first child with husband Jay Z. The ‘Single Ladies’ singer smiled and clutched her burgeoning belly to announce the big news at the MTV video music awards.Beyonce said, “I have a surprise” as she posed for photos on the red carpet. MTV immediately wrote on its Twitter page: “OMG Beyonce just made a huge announcement on the vma carpet! baby (sic).”
As she began her performance of ‘Love On Top’, Beyonce said, “I want you to feel the love that’s growing inside me.” After her performance, she dropped her mic, unbuttoned her coat, and rubbed her belly, while Kanye West congratulated a beaming Jay-Z in the audience. The 29-year-old wed Jay Z in 2008 and has previously spoken about her plans to start a family. (PTI)
