Guwahati: A wild elephant trampled three persons to death in Monabari tea estate in Assam’s Sonitpur district on Saturday. Local reports said that the marauding elephant went on a rampage in the area. It trampled three persons to death, including a couple. Local residents claimed that the elephant has been creating havoc in the area for long and has killed people on earlier occasions also. (PTI)
