Suicide victim identified

 SHILLONG: Police have identified the suicide victim who jumped into a fish pond near St Edmund’s College in Risa Colony on Saturday as one Asterwell Kharbuli (32) from Pdeng Shnong, Malki. Police have also confirmed the incident as suicide. “This man was released from Super Care Hospital on Saturday after which he was out for a walk with his wife when he came to this road packed with trucks and tried to enter inside one of the moving trucks in an attempt to commit suicide,” a police source said on Sunday. The source further added that after this failed attempt he went and jumped straight into the fish pond which led to his death.
