Tuki assures security to media

ITANAGAR: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Nabam Tuki assured the press fraternity of his government’s commitment to provide security and safety to mediapersons to work without fear or favour.

Addressing mediapersons at a dinner hosted exclusively in their honour as part of Republic Day celebration at Banquet Hall here on Thursday evening, Tuki expressed concern at the repeated attacks on mediapersons and assured all possible help for their security.

However, he said both print and electronic media should refrain from biased reporting and welcomed positive criticism for greater welfare of the society.

He said every member of the civil society is equal and have been assigned specific jobs for the greater welfare of the people. (UNI)
