Riot police firing tear gas face off with Bahraini anti-government protesters, including one throwing a petrol bomb on Wednesday, in Daih, Bahrain, on the edge of the capital of Manama. Also on Wednesday, a prominent rights activist jailed in Bahrain told a judge his detention is a political act aimed at weakening the uprising against the Gulf kingdom’s rulers. (PTI)
