e-school project launched

 TURA: In one of its unique programme in Meghalaya or in any State in North East India, the Digital Empowerment Foundation and National Internet Exchange of India in association with the Directorate of School Education (West, East and South Garo Hills), Govt. of Meghalaya launched the national Gyanpedia (e-School) project in Tura on Thursday.

The project which is an initiative of New Delhi based Digital Empowerment Foundation and National Internet Exchange of India was launched at the Tura Internet & Services Centre (TISC), Dakopgre, Tura with regional support provided by the North East Development Foundation.

A total of 30 government and government aided schools have been selected for the Tura pilot project.
