BSF seize goods worth over Rs 4 lakh

 SHILLONG: BSF troops of Border Outpost (BOP) Gumaghat, Ex-83 batallion deployed in West Khasi Hills seized 5kg of hemp while it was being smuggled to Bangladesh on Saturday.

Meanwhile, in another incident, on Sunday, BSF troops of BOP Dulainala & Sonatala Ex-44 Bn deployed in East Khasi Hills seized 190 bottles of liquor while it was being smuggled into Bangladesh. Besides these, BSF troops of Meghalaya Frontier also seized 4 country boats, wooden logs and other contraband items worth Rs 4,90,000 last week. The seized items have been handed over to the concerned department for further disposal.
