New Delhi: A four-member BJP delegation would visit Assam where communal violence has so far claimed 21 lives.

BJP national president Nitin Gadkari today constituted a four-member team under the leadership of party general secretary and Assam affairs in charge Vijay Goel.

The other members of the team are BJP general secretary Kiran Maheshwari and party MPs Vijay Chakravarty and Raman Deka. The delegation would visit the state soon and give a report on the situation to the party high command.

Shoot-at-sight orders have been given in Kokrajhar district since Monday evening. Indefinite curfew remained clamped in Kokrajhar and four police station areas in Dhubri district.

The attack and murder of the ex-BLT rebels was reportedly a fallout of an attack on a couple of minority leaders in Kokrajhar a few days back. (UNI)
