Truck with liquor goes missing; found later

 SHILLONG: In an interesting incident, a truck loaded with liquor went missing from Fire Brigade area on Saturday night.

According to police, the truck was later recovered from Mawlyndep, Sohryngkham.

Police informed that half of the liquor consignment was delivered to RB Bonded warehouse in Motinagar. “The rest of the consignment, which was damaged by rain, was supposed to be replaced by the company. Before the company could replace the consignment, the vehicle, which was parked in Fire Brigade area, went missing from the scene.

The handyman of the truck, who is believed to have stolen the vehicle, is still absconding, police added.
