Symposium

The department of chemistry, St Edmund’s College will organise a one day symposium on ‘Historical aspects of chemistry and its future perspectives’ as one of its initiatives in the platinum jubilee year on October 15 in the college AV Room.

Mosaic 2012

Mosaic 2012 was organised by the department of management, NEHU, Tura Campus on Friday at its permanent campus at Duragre on the theme ‘Human Resource for Nation Building which was inaugurated by member of the parliament, Rajya Sabha Thomas A Sangma.

Passing out parade

The passing out parade of the 37th batch of recruit constables will be held on October 17 at 10am. Director General of Police N Ramachandran will be present as the chief guest.

Shella police

The Shella Police Station Complex will be inaugurated by Additional Director General of Police BL Buam on October 15.

Annual get-together

The Central Puja Committee will hold its 20th Annual get-together of harmony on October 18 at 10 am at the Puja Pandel of Shree Gorkha Durga Puja Committee at Lukier Road, Shillong wherein, Governor RS Mooshahary will be the chief guest.

Poetry competition

The AIPC Meghalaya Chapter has extended the last date for submission of entry forms for the Third Meghalaya Poetry Competition 2012 to October 25. Prize distribution will be held in November 13 at St Edmund’s College Auditorium at 12 Noon.

FKJGP

The FKJGP Nongthymmai Circle has expressed concern over the pathetic conditions of the road all along Nongthymmai, Nongshilliang from Rani Motors till Auxilium School and parts of Pohkseh, ITI Rynjah and Lapalang besides others. The Federation has demanded the Public Works department (PWD) to repair the roads as soon as possible.
