SHILLONG: In view of the ensuing Durga Puja celebrations, the State police have put restrictions on entry of trucks into Shillong city from October 20 to 24.

Deputy Inspector General of Police A Sunn informed that trucks will not be allowed to enter the city from 1 pm to 1 am.

Following this restriction, trucks coming from Ri-Bhoi, West Jaintia Hills, East Jaintia Hills, South West Khasi Hills and West Khasi Hills will be halted in their respective districts.

Multi-axle trailer trucks will not be allowed to enter Ri-Bhoi district and East Jaintia Hills during the above mentioned duration, Sunn added.
