Raid

A vice raid was conducted on Friday at Happy Valley and Madanriting area where 83,805 ml of Foreign IMFL, 10,000 litres of local made were seized. Seven persons were arrested in this regard which included Tsezing Choenying (28), Tenzi Dolkar (24), Dechen Lama (38), Kripa Lama (53), Sita Gurung (58), Kwintina Lyngdoh (58) and Angam Lyngdoh (42). A Non FIR is being sent up to court.

One more vice raid was conducted on Friday at Happy Valley where police managed to apprehend one Tsering Jurmi of Double D Restaurant for possessing 27425ml of illicit liquor.

Fraud

One, Ajanta Kar lodged a complaint at Tura PS that she had invested Rs. 8 lakh with Religare Securities Agency Ltd since November 2011 through an Agent of the company, Soumaya Roy. Recently she went through a financial statement and found no stocks in her name. Later, she also learnt that the agent did not possess any valid license from SEBI.

Theft

On November 22 at around 9.30 pm to 10 pm, two unknown miscreants claiming themselves to be SOT personnel forcibly snatched away one camera, one mobile phone, ID card and cash of Rs. 1,500 from Saika K. Chishi (31 yrs) at Malki Petrol Pump, Shillong.
