Theft
On December 22 at about 10.30 pm, unknown miscreants stole one laptop and one cell phone from the house of one Sarol Arora at Lummawrie, Laitumkhrah.
Fraud
On December 22, police arrested two persons, James Sangma (29) and Hendrick Marak (25), in connection with cheating case under Mendipathar PS in North Garo Hills.
Assault
A complaint was lodged at Mendipathar PS that on December 17 at about 7.30 pm, staff of the Excise Department conducted vice raid at Wageasi Bazar in North Garo Hills and apprehended one Mansrang Ch. Marak for selling liquor illegally. Following this, 15-20 unidentified persons armed with lethal weapons assaulted the staff. As a result, they sustained injuries.
On December 23 circa 9 pm, one Nabin Rani and five others assaulted one Armed Branch Constable of East Khasi Hills, DEF Derick Majaw at Nongrimbah, Laitumkhrah. Police have arrested Nabin Rani.
