Threat

H.B. Lyngkhoi lodged a complaint at Mawkyrwat PS that Thwording Iawphniaw had regularly threatened him and his family members with dire consequences by using lethal weapons at Ngunraw (SWKH). In another incident, one Bangjit Momin lodged a complaint at Rongjeng PS that on December 23 around 3 pm, one Rajib Sangma threatened him with a gun at Naringgire, East Garo Hills.

Theft

On December 28 night, miscreants broke into a shop belonging to Probin Das at Rynjah, Shillong and stole sixty cell-phones valued around Rs. 1,50,000.

In another case, Md. Habibul Islam lodged a complaint at Tikrikilla PS that on December 25 night, Azimuddin Sheikh, Shajadur Prodhani, Soid Ali Sheikh and their accomplices armed with lethal weapons stole gold and silver ornaments and cell phone valued at Rs. 44,800 from his house. They also demanded Rs 2 lakh and threatened that he should pay the amount within three days.

Body recovered

On December 27, an unidentified decomposed male dead body was recovered from Rongsit river (EGH). Cadaver was sent to CH Williamnagar for post mortem.

Assault

On December 26 at around 8 pm, unidentified miscreants assaulted three persons, Teibor Khongsit, Md. Anwar Hussain and Md. Shafiul Muslim Islam at Umlyngka, Upper Shillong. As a result, they sustained injuries and removed to Civil Hospital Shillong.

Convent burgled

Sister Rebecca Borogaon lodged a complaint at Bajengdoba PS that on December 25 at around 10 am, unknown miscreants broke into her quarter at Bethany Convent, Mendal North Garo Hills and stole Rs. 10,000.

Kidnap

One Bishot Kumar Das lodged a complaint at Bogularbhita outpost that on December 24 at around 9 pm, three persons, Sanjoy Das, Gola Das and Mrs Bashona Das kidnapped his daughter, Gita Das (14 ) from Bogularbhita, West Garo Hills.
