Elaborate traffic arrangements in purview of KJP assembly

SHILLONG: Elaborate traffic arrangements have been made for the Khasi Jaintia Presbyterian (KJP) Synod (Sepngi) 2013 to be held at Golflink on Sunday.

In a statement issued here on Thursday, KJP Synod Sepngi Traffic Committee convener MM Syiemlieh informed that all light vehicles coming from Ri-Bhoi should proceed to the Parking Lot at the Mawlai School Compound via Phudmuri Road.

According to Syiemlieh, all heavy and medium vehicles including Sumo coming from Ri-Bhoi should park their vehicles only at One Side of the road from F.C.I. upto the Main Gate of MeECL; DIC Office Compound or 5th Ground, via Saw Furlong via Phudmuri Road.

He also said that all light vehicles coming from Hotel Polo Towers should park their vehicles at the Parking Lot, Polo Ground adding that all heavy and medium vehicles including Sumo coming from Bishop Cotton Road (Shillong Municipal Board Office) should proceed towards 5th Ground through the Gate behind Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.

Syiemlieh stated that all light vehicles coming from Nongmynsong should proceed to Pynthorbah and park their vehicles there while the heavy and medium vehicles including Sumo should proceed to 5th Ground for parking.

Meanwhile, traffic committee convener said that all light vehicles coming from NEHU/Mawtawar should proceed to Mawroh School Compound while adding that all heavy, medium and light vehicles coming from Mawpat should park their vehicles at Langkyrding Road.

Light vehicles coming from Iewduh (Bara Bazaar) via Mawkhar, Jaiaw should proceed to the Parking Lot at Polo Ground via Polo Bazaar, he said.

Syiemlieh further informed that traffic police personnel along with Church Volunteers placed at every transit point will help & guide where to the Parking your vehicles. All church goers are requested to co-operate with this arrangement.
