Shoot out

On April 6 at around 11.30 pm, four unidentified miscreants went to the tea-stall of one Depok Marak (25) at Wahryndi village (WKH) and demanded money from him. On his refusal, the miscreants fired at him and fled away. As a result, the victim sustained bullet injuries and was shifted to a hospital at Goalpara, Assam.

lOn April 7, body of one Hambestar Sawkmie (39) with bullet injuries on his chest was found from a boat at Zero Point (RB). One empty cartridge of SBBL gun was recovered from the PO.

Theft

On April 7 at around 9 pm, unidentified miscreants snatched a necklace from one Plesey Dawkhaid (48) at Pynthorbah, Shillong.

Fraud

One Awadesh Sah lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar PS that on April 5, on updating his Passbook, it was detected that unknown persons fraudulently withdrew Rs. 35,000/- on three separate occasions from it.

Arson

On April 4 at around 4.40 pm, unknown miscreants set fire to the fencing of M.E.S at Rynjah, Shillong.

Attack

The District Urban Planning Officer, M S Sangma lodged a complaint at Tura PS that on April 3 around 4 pm, while construction workers were working at the site of Inter-State Bus Terminus at Chasingre Tura (WGH), a boulder caved in and damaged betel nut trees belonging to two different owners. Following this, an Engineer was deputed to assess the damage. However, two persons, Pillar A. Sangma and Paruline Sangma abused the workers and also attacked the Engineer with iron rod and stones. As a result, he sustained injuries and was shifted to Civil Hospital Tura.

Body recovered

On April 7 at around 7 am, body of one Diamond Kharbani was recovered from a fish pond at Nongdom Mawria (EKH).
