SHILLONG: The report of the magisterial enquiry into the incidents of violence on April 4 on the occasion of the Khasi National Awakening Day could not be submitted on Friday.

Informing of the development, East Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner Sanjay Goyal said the report could not be submitted as Additional District Magistrate, DM Wahlang, who was conducting the inquiry, was preoccupied with the hunger strike called by the Grade-IV unemployed candidates.

“It will be submitted probably in the next working day,” Goyal added.
