Assault

On April 27, Kailash Verma, owner of the Hotel Pegasus Crown filed a complaint against his wife, Kamla Verma for assaulting him at the Hotel and also threatened him with dire consequences. On the same day, his wife filed a similar complaint and alleged him of abusing her with filthy language. In this regard, a criminal case has been taken up and matter is still under investigation.

On April 20 at around 7 pm, one David T. Sangma assaulted Balang A. Sangma with a knife at Nangalbibra (SGH). As a result, the victim sustained injuries and shifted to Civil Hospital Tura where he succumbed to his injuries on April 24.

Theft

One Khrawkupar Syiem lodged a complaint at Laitumkhrah PS that unknown miscreants stole water pipes from Cleve Colony, Shillong.

MCS P.D. Sangma lodged a complaint at Nongstoin PS that on April 30, unknown miscreants broke into his official quarter at Nongstoin (WKH) and stole one laptop.

One Rutina Sangma lodged a complaint that on April 14, her brother Mackjum Sangma took her car (ML-08C-3589) from her residence at Dobakol (NGH) and allegedly sold it.

Arrest

On April 29, BSF Mobile Check Post conducted checking at Sonapur Bridge (EJH) and recovered 165 cartons of Phensedyle from a Tripura bound truck (WB-15B-4935). In this connection, Police arrested two persons, Raj Kumar Mahato and Tapas Mondal.
