JOWAI: In view of the ‘Behdeinkhlam’ festival celebration of the Sein Raij Jowai which will be held from Wednesday till Saturday, the Jowai Traffic Police has prepared a two day traffic arrangement for the peaceful celebration of the famous annual religious festival of the Sein Raij Jowai.
As per the traffic arrangement issued here, no vehicle will be allowed to enter Law Musiang from 9 am till 5 pm on Friday. Light vehicle coming from Shillong will be allowed to park on the Shillong-Jowai Road starting from Challam Syngkon Petrol pump up to Shillong Sumo Stand. Light vehicles coming from Khliehriat area will be allowed to park at Ladthadlaboh Stadium.
All vehicles coming from Jowai Civil Hospital will not be allowed to enter Tpep-pale, Dulong, Iongpiah, Panaliar, Mission Compound up to Mynthong.
No Entry timing have been arranged for Saturday- the last day of the celebration from 12 noon till 5:00 pm. Vehicles coming from Jowai Civil Hospital toward Law Musiang will divert from Dulong through Tpep-Pale also vehicles coming from Mission Compound will divert through Loomkyrwiang, Chilliangraij and Umshangiar.
No Entry point will be at Dulong junction, Iongpiah junction, Loomkyrwiang junction and Aitnar Junction. All VIPs vehicles and vehicles with Car Pass will be allowed to enter Iongpiah through Lookyrwiang, Chilliang Raij Playground and will exit through Khimusniang. The rest will park all along Lower Chutwakhu Road.
No Entry point at DC junction, Dawki junction and District Library, Mynthong will be from 3:00 pm till further notice.
