Theft

Dr. (Mrs) Christina Lyngdoh lodged a complaint at Laitumkhrah PS that on August 22 at around 3 am, unknown miscreants fraudulently withdrew Rs. 60,000 from her account at Central Bank of India, Laitumkhrah Branch.

Assault

lOn August 22 at about 7:10 pm, one unidentified driver of local taxi (ML-05H-8584) assaulted Grelson Khongsit (36) at Civil Hospital point, Shillong. As a result, the victim sustained injuries.

lOn August 20 at around 8.30 pm, one Lakhon Pale threatened his family members at Ialong, Jowai (WJH) and also assaulted one John Dhar at the same village. Police arrested the accused.

Arrest

On August 22 night, Police arrested one Kyrshan Lamare (27), member of Meghalaya People United Front (MPUF) in connection with a kidnapping/abduction case under Jowai PS.

Body recovered

lOn August 21, the body of one Nojin Lyngkhoi (82) was recovered at Shaid-Shaid Jungle (SWKH). He was reportedly missing since August 13, 2013 and was suffering from mental disorder.

lOn August 14, one Fallu Singh was found dead near May Fair School, Laitumkhrah.

Notice

One, Teibor Thongni (45) who was admitted in Civil Hospital, Shillong on August 18 passed away on August 19. The concerned relatives are asked to collect the body from the morgue of the hospital immediately or within three days failing of which the body will be sent for disposal by the Shillong Municipal Board.
