Villager shot dead by GNLA cadres

NONGSTOIN: One Nirmal Sangma (35) of Awek Village near Shallang in West Khasi Hills District was shot dead by GNLA militants at his residence late Thursday night.

The villager was executed by the GNLA on the allegation that he was a police informer.

The GNLA cadres fled the scene after killing the villager. Police from Shallang Police Station are combing the area to nab the militants.
