SHILLONG: Meghalaya People’s Front (MPF) has decided to table an adjournment motion on the issue of influx during the upcoming session of the State Assembly starting from October 4.

“We are moving the adjournment motion on the opening day of the session,” MPF spokesperson Paul Lyngdoh said here on Monday.

Speaking reporters, Lyngdoh said besides influx, MPF was going to demand a discussion on the plight of the state school teachers.

“We are concerned over the adamant attitude of Government in addressing various demands of school teachers,” MPF spokesperson said.

Lyngdoh said that they would also be raising the issue pertaining to the prevailing law and order problem in Garo Hills besides the pathetic conditions of the PWD roads across the State.
