Illegal appointments opposed

NONGSTOIN: The Association of DSC passed candidates; West Khasi Hills have strongly opposed the alleged illegal appointment of many posts in some departments in West Khasi Hills.
“The decision of many department heads in the District to give an Officiating and Contractual positions for vacant post s is against the rules and regulations of the Government,” Association of DSC Passed, West Khasi Hills general secretary Rikynti Sun told reporters here on Monday.
The Association also found out that there were 20 to 30 vacant posts in West Khasi Hills.
The Association also pointed that DM&HO Office, PWD, SE (PWD) Water Resources and Social Welfare in Nongstoin conducts appointments illegally.
The Association therefore demanded the State government to look upon the matter and to appoint all the candidates whose name featured in the merit list.
