Workshop

An Advocacy Workshop on Environmental matters of the National Green Tribunal will be held on November 14 at Yojana Bhavan, Main Secretariat, from 3 to 5 pm. Chairman of the NGT, Justice Swatanter Kumar, will grace the occasion.

Diabetes Day

Bansara Eye Care Centre in collaboration with World Diabetes Foundation and Seng Kynthei Wahingdoh will observe World Diabetes Day on November 14 by organising a global diabetes walk which will start at 9 am from Dr HG Robert Hospital and to be conducted at Wahingdoh Community Hall. A function will be held at Wahingdoh Community hall after the walk to create awareness among the public about diabetes and the eye.

Notice

The Chief Executive Officer, Shillong Municipal Board has informed that public water pipe lines within the SMB areas are leaking causing wastage of drinking water and also damaging the roads. All house owners are requested to repair the leaking pipes immediately failing of which the leaking pipes will be sealed and water supply to such household will be disconnected forthwith.

Exhibition

The office of the General Manager of the District Commerce and Industries Centre, East Khasi Hills District will organise the 31st district level industrial exhibition on November 13 at 12 noon at Smit. Deputy Commissioner Sanjay Goyal will inaugurate the exhibition.

Corrigendum

In connection with the interview of IIM Director, Prof Amitabh De, the designation of Prof Keya Sengupta, should read as Director in charge during the interim period after the first director Prof Ashoke Kumar Dutta, Currently member of the North Eastern Council, left the institute, and not second Director of IIM.

In connection to a news item (The Shillong Times, November 11), the full form of MYF should read as Meghalaya Youth Foundation and not Meghalaya Youth Federation.
