SHILLONG: One Iadeilang Kharkongor has lodged a complaint with the police that one Lucas Lyngdoh has been posing as a banker and collecting monthly loan deposits from customers of Umphyrnai in East Khasi Hills on behalf of SBI Madanrting Branch for the past seven months.

Kharkongor, in her complaint, alleged that the accused had collected an amount of Rs 1,05,000 from her with a promise of getting a loan cleared from the bank. In another cheating case, one Badhok Nongmalieh lodged a complaint that in November, 2012 one Franky Lyngdoh of Evergreen Counseling Associates, Laitumkhrah, Shillong, duped him of Rs. 3,50,000 after promising to arrange for a loan of Rs 10 crore. Police have arrested the accused Franky Lyngdoh.
