Theft

One Pradip Gogoi (26) lodged a complaint that on November 18 at around 1 pm, unknown miscreants stole Rs. 6 lakh from his Santro car (AS-01-AD-7733) which was parked at MUDA Parking Lot, Police Bazar.

lOn November 15 at around 11 pm, unknown miscreants stole one truck (AS-01-AC-2251) at Puriang (EKH). Later, the truck was recovered from Mawkhanu Lum Diengngan.

lOn November 12 night, unknown miscreants broke into the godown of one Sohanlal Agarwal at Demthring, Shillong and stole petrol and lubricants valued around Rs. 79,782.

lOn the night of November 12, unknown miscreants broke into the shop of one Lalit Agarwal at Demthring, Shillong and stole, paints valued around Rs. 37,092.

Rape

On Nov. 16 around 4.30 pm, Drolison Wahlang (53) attempted to rape one minor girl (12) at her residence at Mawiong Ptndengrei (EKH).

lOn November 16 at around 1.30 pm, one Pynshngain Kharlyngdoh raped one girl (19) in a Sumo (ML-05H-0903) on the way to Mawbah village (EKH).

Threat case

On November 15 at around 7 pm, Wanbha Pohthmi of Lumshnong (EJH) threatened his sister namely, A. Pohthmi with dire consequences.

lOne Nintu Kuri of Lyngkhat village (EKH) lodged a complaint that the Sordar of Lyngkhat and his associates threatened him and his family members with dire consequences. They also issued directive to his family members to leave the village within three days failing which they would burn down their house and the shop.

Arson

On November 15, around 7.15 pm, unidentified miscreants hurled a petrol bomb on a truck (AS-01-AC-4457) loaded with scrap materials and driven by Dhan Bh. Sunar (38) at Umdihar, Nongpoh while it was proceeding from Shillong towards Guwahati. As a result, the truck was totally damaged and its handyman Hari Lama (34) sustained injuries and was removed to CH Nongpoh.

Forgery

Edmund Syiem, ex Headman of Madanryting lodged a complaint that one Bankyrshanlang Jana Nongbet had forged the signature of the complainant on an NOC which was submitted to District Council Court in connection with a case.

Fraud

One Iadeilang Kharkongor lodged a complaint that during the last seven months one Lucas Lyngdoh claiming himself a banker, collected monthly loan deposits from the customers of Umphyrnai (EKH) on behalf of SBI Madanryting Branch. He also took Rs. 1,05,000 from the complainant with a promise to get her loan from the bank.

lOne Badhok Nongmalieh lodged a complaint that in the month of November 2012, one Franky Lyngdoh of Evergreen Counseling Associates, Laitumkhrah promised the complainant a loan of Rs. 10 crore on deposit of Rs. 3,50,000. Accordingly, Franky Lyngdoh paid the amount but the loan was not sanctioned to him. Police arrested the accused.
