Truck drags woman in city, 2 held

 In a bizarre and gruesome incident, a lady was tied behind a truck and allegedly dragged on the road at Madanryting here on Friday night.
Officers from the Madanryting police station said that an unknown phone call informed them of the incident.
Police has detained the truck (ASO01 DC 1695). However, the driver and the handyman, who is a juvenile, claim that they are not aware about how the woman was tied to the vehicle.
The victim identified as  Buris Lyngdoh, aged around 40 years, has been admitted to the Civil Hospital here and till the filing of this report,  police could not take the statement of the victim owing to her critical condition.
Police said that they are still in the preliminary round of investigation and are yet to get a clear picture of the incident.
