Bangladeshi NDFB/ULFA linkman nabbed

SHILLONG: BSF troops of Kachuadogri Border Out post in South West Garo Hills apprehended one Bangladeshi NDFB/ULFA linkman on Thursday while he was trying to crossover to Bangladesh in a stolen Bajaj Pulsar (ML 07-A9637).

The linkman has been identified as Kanu Koch (24), a resident of Sherpur in Bangladesh.

Kanu Koch has confessed that he was working for NDFB and ULFA outfit as an overground worker.

Last week, BSF troops on Meghalaya border also apprehended four Bangladeshi nationals and two Indian national and seized 989 Bottles of Liquor and other contraband items worth over Rs. 2 Lacs while being smuggled out from India to Bangladesh.

Apprehended persons and seized items have been handed over to concerned department for further disposal and legal action as per law of the land.

On January 29 around 1 pm, BSF personnel apprehended one Bangladesh national Md. Shamnoor Miah (25) while trying to cross over to India from Zero Point at Borsora (SWKH) and recovered four bottles of whiskey from his possession.
