SHILLONG: Lumjingshai Secondary School beat Lamyrsiang Secondary School in the boys’ and girls’ finals of the Block Level U-12 Chief Minister Football Cup (Saipung Block) at Lamyrsiang Playground on Tuesday.
The tournament, which began on March 15, saw the participation of six boys teams and four girls teams.
Both finals were decided via tiebreakers. Lumjingshai SS boys won 2-0, while the girls triumphed 3-2.
Hering Shangpliang, the District Sports Officer, was the chief guest, and also present was N Nongtdu, Saipung Sports Association secretary.
