Visitors entering Malaysia to be screened for Coronavirus

Kuala Lumpur: Malaysia on Tuesday said it will screen all visitors entering the country through Kuala Lumpur airport for the deadly Coronavirus as a precautionary measure.
The situation in the country was under control and no new cases were reported, he said. Malaysia recorded its first death related to Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus (MERS-CoV) on April 13, after a 54-year-old man contracted the MERS-CoV while performing umrah in Mecca.
The deadly disease, which is rapidly spreading in Saudi Arabia and around the world, has already claimed more than 100 lives in Saudi Arabia and has become a global health concern.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has expressed concern about the rising number of cases of Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus (MERS-CoV) in recent weeks, especially in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. (PTI)
