Body recovered

One unidentified male (aged around 47) was found lying unconscious in an unused shop at Laitumkhrah Bazaar on June 19. The person was later shifted to Civil Hospital, Shillong where he died on June 20 at 8.20am. Relatives are requested to claim the body from the Civil Hospital morgue.

Workshop

The Office of General Manager Telecom District, BSNL, Shillong will be organizing an open house session and consumer education workshop on June 25 at 11am, and a Telephone Adalat for redressal of telephone subscribers’ grievances on June 26 at 11:30am at the conference room of GMTD, opp. Lady Hydari Park.

A flash mob will be performed by the students of Dept. of Social Work, Women’s College, Shillong on the occasion of International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, June 26 at MUDA (Meghalaya Urban Development Authority) and Don Bosco Youth Centre at 12:30pm and 4:30pm respectively.

Meeting

The Meghalaya Aids Control Society in collaboration with Voluntary Health Association of Meghalaya Shillong will be organizing an advocacy meeting with community stake holders on ‘Harm Reduction’ as part of the observation of International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking on June 26 at the Khasi National Dorbar Hall, Mawkhar, Shillong at 10am.
