Ceremony
The prize distribution ceremony of 7th Inter Shillong Cultural Meet, 2014 and prize distribution ceremony of Sarodiyo competition, 2013 cum Souvenir Release function will be held on July 20 in the Laban Bengalee Boys’ Higher Secondary School Auditorium, Laban, Shillong from 2:30 pm onwards. Sanbor Shullai, Deputy Speaker, Meghalaya Legislative Assembly, will grace the function as chief guest.
Meeting
The general meeting of the Seng Kur Kharshandi will be held on July 17 at the Mawkhar Christian Higher Secondary School at 10:30 am.
Competition
Metallica Sargam Sports & Cultural Club, Shillong, in association with Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, Shillong & Indian Council for cultural Relation, Shillong will organize its Annual Inter-School English Recitation competition on July 19, at Don Bosco Youth Center Premises.
Celebration
The birth centenary celebration of Sadguru Sri Sri Paramananda Saraswati Maharaj will be observed at R&R Colony Community Hall on July 20 with a day long programme. On this occasion, devotional songs, Padabali Kirtan and distribution of prasad will be held. Bus services will be provided after the programme.
Workshop
Gitanjali Dance Academy is organizing a dance workshop from July 15-21 at the newly inaugurated hall at Bishnupur. Sudarshan Chakravarty, the contemporary dance and choreographer will be the resource person.
