SHILLONG: The FKJGP has lauded the efforts of the present Executive Committee (EC) in the KHADC under the leadership of Ardent Miller Basaiawmoit for taking action against non-tribal traders who are illegally operating their business without obtaining trading license from the Council.
“The action on the part of the new EC is moving in a right direction towards protecting the interest of the indigenous people,” FKJGP general secretary Wilbirth Rani said in a statement on Wednesday.
He urged the KHADC to continue with their good work to ensure that non-tribal traders do not operate without valid trading license.
The FKJGP also criticized the attack on the enforcement staff and media persons during the eviction drive on July 25.
