Miscreants steal MLA’s computer

SHILLONG: Unknown miscreants on Monday broke into the office of Independent MLA Julius Dorphang at Mawlai Iewrynghep . Police said that the incident happened at around 10 am. Miscreants stole one computer set.

In a separate case, police arrested one Meena Bharaj of Happy Valley, Shillong for allegedly duping one person of Rs 3,50,000. Police said that on March 2013, Bharaj took the amount from Ravikant Kumar of Sukbha Gas Agency, Laitumkhrah, Shillong promising him a job in Railways. Police arrested Bharaj acting on a complaint lodged by Kumar.
