Paul McCartney auctions guitar to help save African elephants
Singer Paul McCartney has auctioned one of his favourite guitars to help conservationists save African elephants. The Martin D-28 left-handed guitar, which McCartney has signed, went up for auction on Wednesday, reported Contactmusic. Proceeds from the sale will benefit the Nature Conservancy’s African Elephant Initiative. Alongside his signature, the former Beatles star, a keen animal activist, wrote, “This guitar saves elephants.” “To have Sir Paul’s support and working with Martin Guitar is a real honour. This calibre of collaboration will make a difference to help end the worst poaching crisis in history,” said David Banks, the managing director of the The Nature Conservancy’s Africa Program. (PTI)
Pregnant Mila Kunis wants another baby soon
Actress Mila Kunis, who is pregnant with her first child, reportedly wants to go for a second child soon. The Black Swan star, who is preparing to give birth to a baby girl in “less than a month”, is eager to have another child with fiance Ashton Kutcher next year, reports femalefirst.co.uk. “She wants to get pregnant again right after this child is born, and she is cleared to do so by her doctor. She loved being pregnant and wants all of her children to be close in age,” said a source. “They both want a big family and have been telling everyone this,” added the source. The 30-year-old hopes to have a natural birth, but “Jobs” star Kutcher doesn’t want to see her in pain. “Mila was going to do an all-natural birth with no medications or sedatives, but she has been advised against this because she is such a small girl. Ashton will not accept this and refuses to see her in pain,” said the source. The source also added that Kutcher doesn’t want his children to “become spoiled Hollywood kids. Do not expect to ever see them on any carpet”. The couple, who got engaged earlier this year, are planning to get married next summer. (IANS)
Jessie J wants to collaborate with Lady Gaga
Domino hitmaker Jessie J admires singer Lady Gaga and wants to work with her. The 26-year-old star has revealed she would love to have a conversation with Gaga, 28, to get an insight into how her mind works, reported the Daily Star. “I’ve seen her live a few times, and every time she does the jazz solo, just her and her voice and the piano. “I’d love to work with her just to see how she thinks. To have that much independence and confidence about being so far away from the normality of what people expect; it’s very dreamy,” Jessie said. “It’s really interesting and admirable. I’d love to just have a conversation with her and see what goes through her head,” she added. (PTI)
