Police clueless about kidnapped minor

SHILLONG: Police are suspecting the involvement of gangs in the kidnapping of a minor boy in Chibinang village in West Garo Hills on Friday night.

West Garo Hills DC, Pravin Bakshi said that the involvement of gangs cannot be ruled out since a few of them are operating in the Chibinang area.

The 16-year-old boy, who is the son of a businessman from Chibinang, was kidnapped from his residence on Friday night.

This is the second case of a minor being kidnapped from the same village. An eight-year-old son of a banker was kidnapped last week allegedly by dacoits.

He said that police have launched operations led by Phulbari police team to trace the boy.
