KSU initiates clean Shillong-Pynursla road campaign

SHILLONG: The KSU Mawkajem area unit launched the Clean Shillong-Pynursla road campaign by conducting a cleaning drive starting with the first phase of the cleaning from the area near Laitlyngkot village upto Pomlum village on October 1.

The KSU Mawkajem area unit, in a statement issued here on Monday, said that the cleaning of the road will be carried out on a regular basis.

The union urged the public and the heads of traditional institutions to join hands to make the area clean.

The KSU also warned the public not to litter the road with any plastic or non-biodegradable waste.

The KSU also urged the shops and restaurants situated along the road not to use plastic and instead use leafs and papers in packaging their food items and also to avoid serving tea in plastic cups.
