The SKUUNEI members do regular follow-up of all communities visited.

Recently, SKUUNEI initiated the White Ribbon Campaign in Meghalaya. The campaign is aimed at eliminating violence against women by building awareness on the issues of violence against women and children.

The programme was formally launched at Mawkasiang village, about 20 km from Shillong, at a function held at the Unitarian Church Mawkasiang with an attendance of 300 members.

The programme commenced with an introduction to the issue of prevention of violence against women and children and the White Ribbon Campaign which is an international effort towards prevention of such violence by Elgiva Dora Shullai, Coordinator, Global Sisters of Unitarian Universalists.

The participants pledged to prevent and report matters relating to violence against women and children. On the occasion, white ribbons were pinned on all gathered.
