The office and press of The Shillong Times will remain closed on December 25 on account of Christmas. Therefore, there will be no edition of the paper on December 26. The next edition will appear on December 27. We wish our readers a Merry Christmas

The Shillong Times first appeared as a tabloid weekly on 10th August 1945 under the editorship of Late Sudhindra Bhusan Chaudhuri. In 1958 it was converted to a Daily. Owing to financial constraints, within six months it reverted back to a weekly.
