Mentally-ill woman ‘raped’ in moving vehicle

SHILLONG: In a shocking case, a mentally-challenged woman was allegedly raped in a moving vehicle in New Nongstoin area in West Khasi Hills.

Police informed that on December 23 around 4 pm two unidentified persons abducted the woman in a vehicle (number not known) from Nongrim village and allegedly raped her.

Later, the abductors released her on December 24 at about 3 am, police said.
