Madonna’s alleged hacker arrested
Israeli police have arrested the man, who allegedly hacked pop diva Madonna’s computer and leaked songs from her upcoming album ‘Rebel’. 27 songs from Madonna’s 13th album were were leaked online last month. The 56-year-old star had then responded by releasing six songs early to mitigate the effects of a leak. She had called the hack ‘a form of terrorism’ and equivalent to ‘artistic rape’, reported Entertainment Weekly. An official gag order has kept the 39-year-old suspect’s name out of the media. According to a statement by the cyber crime division of Lahav 433, an FBI-like organisation that made the arrest, he has been identified as a former contestant on an Israeli televised singing competition and is accused of breaking into the computers of several pop stars besides Madonna. Rapper LL Cool J to host Grammys for fourth time
Rapper-turned-actor LL Cool J will host the upcoming 57th Grammy Awards, making his fourth consecutive year as the event’s emcee. The Awards will broadcast live on February 8 from the Staples Center in Los Angeles on CBS, it was reported . “I’m thrilled to again be part of music’s biggest night. The performances and moments you see on the Grammy stage are nothing less than amazing throughout the years and this year’s show is shaping up to be one you will never forget,” Cool J, 47, said in a statement. Beyonce, Pharrell Williams and Smith lead the pack of nominees this year with six nods each, including album of the year. (PTI)
Nick Jonas, Meghan Trainor join The Voice as mentors
The Voice has reportedly selected Nick Jonas, Meghan Trainor, Ellie Goulding as well as veteran artist Lionel Richie as mentors for season 8. Nick will help Team Christina Aguilera, Meghan will team up with Blake Shelton, Ellie will assist Team Adam Levine, and Lionel will mentor Team Pharrell Williams,it was reported. Lionel has previously served as mentor on the show in season 2, while the other three singers have appeared as musical performers before. Christina, who is one of the original coaches along with Adam and Blake, return to the singing competition series after taking two consecutive seasons off. Pharrell, meanwhile, first joined the show in season 7 to fill the spot left by Cee-Lo Green. (PTI)
